Nebraska Running Back Emmett Johnson Pre-Indiana Press Conference

On his bye week
“It was a great weekend. I watched a lot of football, a lot of different games. I learned a lot of different things from watching it. I also recovered my body, getting in the training room and doing some recovery. I just mentally prepared, the bye weeks are a chance to get a head start on the next opponent and that’s what I did.”

On the running backs goals for the second half of the season
“Be explosive. That’s my biggest thing to the running backs group. We’ve had some good runs during the season. I’ve been explosive my whole life and I want to help this team win. Just to be explosive and score those big runs and be there for our team. Making those plays when our moments when our time is called.”

On cadence and shifting to the clap
“I would say in big games and away games especially it’s good to change up the cadence to avoid getting big penalties and such. Knowing everyone’s on the same page will be great moving forward.”
