On his journey and the team so far
“It’s been interesting. Obviously it’s had its ups and downs. The goal is to not try to ride that wave. I’ve had some good games, had some pretty bad moments that I’d like to have back, but I think we’ve got ourselves in a good rhythm now to where we think we can really take off and put our best foot forward.”

On the value of having played college games
“It’s huge. We were speaking about it yesterday or Sunday. That was probably the first game we had – against Minnesota – where I actually got the chances to do all the different things. To just be out there, playing in different situations, like Michigan State, kicking into the most ridiculous wind ever. Then also, there’s different situations like Cincinnati, it was a lot of pooch sort of work. Against Michigan, I was backed up. I think there’s been good exposure to all the different situations. Now I can start to know what’s going to happen more and not every kick be like the first time.”

On getting used to playing in different parts of the US and travel
“I’m not going to lie, the travel doesn’t really affect much. It’s cool. I’ll be in the hotel and part of me is just like ‘what am I doing in Minnesota, that’s really random that I’m here.’ It’s the same task. I’m still just kicking a ball. That doesn’t really play much of an effect, but I enjoy seeing different places.”
