Nebraska Offensive Lineman Turner Corcoran Pre-Colorado Press Conference

On the run game and pass protection in the first game
“I thought we played well, but not as well as we would’ve liked to have played. Our standard is we want to be able to keep the quarterback clean as possible, all the time. And then on the run game, we just want to give the running back a chance.”

On his first game back from being injured
“Yeah it felt pretty good, it was really exciting. Just being able to run out there again and playing in front of 90,000 fans, playing with my teammates, it was awesome.”

On Dylan Raiola’s first game, and his leadership as a true freshman
“You know, he’s a really smart kid. I know he’s not a kid, he’s like 18 or 19 years old. But he’s very mature for his age, he reads the defense really well, he’s able to get us in and out of plays, what he thinks is best fit for either run or pass game and I think he’s got a really bright future here.”

On Raiola’s throws and impact on Corcoran’s job
“It’s pretty fun to watch him throw the ball. There’s a bunch of people comparing him to that guy up in Kansas City, I like to agree with them just because he plays really well, he throws the ball really well, he’s very smart, he helps us out a lot by getting the ball out pretty quick. Yeah, he’s a talented player.”
