Nebraska Offensive Lineman Bryce Benhart Pre-Iowa Press Conference

On being on track for his 41st start on Saturday
“I didn’t know about that until Keith (Mann) texted me exactly or when I was told to do this and when he told me in the text. It’s a privilege… It’s an honor to play this much football here and it’s pretty exciting.”

On how meaningful his health has been
“There is always a risk with getting hurt. Even just going outside, there is always a risk. You can’t worry about that because it’s just going to happen. I’ve been pretty privileged that I didn’t have to worry about injuries as much.

On Senior Day and if he’s planning on walking
“I’m still trying to figure some stuff out first. I’m more worried about Iowa and then I’ll figure the rest out.”

On the urgency with the team this week leading up to Friday’s game
“I mean we’re attacking it like every other week. I mean we’re giving it everything. No, I wouldn’t say we’re attacking it differently. We’re attacking it the same as every other week. One rep at a time.”

On the changing of the quarterback position and Chubba Purdy’s start
“I was proud of him. Whatever quarterback steps in I’m proud of. I mean I know it's hard changing quarterbacks, but I’m proud of how he came in, stepped up and took control of the huddle. It was really cool to see that.”
