Nebraska Offensive Lineman Ben Scott Pre-Rutgers Press Conference

On how the offensive line adjusts to lineup changes
“I think we’re taking it one day at a time. Everyone is ready to step up. I think that our practice trains us for everything. I think we’re all doing really well at our individual drills and all that, so I think we’re ready for everything.”

On Gunnar Gottula
“Gunnar is that guy that comes every day with his lunch pail and he gets the work. He was always treating every practice like he was going to play, so it was no shock to him when his name got called. Now, he’s really taking that next step forward and getting his first start was great for him.”

On Dylan Raiola’s performance in his first road game and the crowd noise
“It was handled great. They had a little student section and their band, so it got a little loud toward that side of the stadium, and I think we ended up doing pretty well. I think it’s always good to work on it in practice with the crowd noise and different cadences and stuff, so I think it’s something to work on.”

On playing grown man football
“I think it’s about handling what we’ve been doing and fixing all the little mistakes here and there. Taking accountability on what’s going on and how we can fix it, person by person. We don’t want to play the blame game. We just want to take accountability and focus on how to fix that problem and what’s next.”
