Nebraska Offensive Lineman Ben Scott Pre-Northern Illinois Press Conference

On improvements made this week: 

“Our mentality is there, I think we need to clean up some stuff and build off of that. I think we’re running the ball really well, but I think we can improve on that. We just need to keep improving and it’s the little details here and there we need to fix up.” 

On Northern Illinois’ defensive front: 

“They're not going to let us get double teams on them. They’re going to move around and fire linebackers through, especially when we get on double teams. That's how we move the guys off the line of scrimmage and so, they are going to try and avoid that. “

On the quarterback position: 

“Whoever is back there we trust him and we’ll protect them. We have gotten reps with every quarterback throughout fall camp and spring camp. So, upfront it's not too big of a change for us.” 

On Jeff Sims:

“I mean he’s a guy that we were rolling with and I trust Jeff back there, as long as he’s back there. Not all of it is on him, you guys can say whatever you want but as an offense as a whole we have some stuff that we need to clean up.”
