Nebraska Offensive Lineman Ben Scott Pre-Illinois Press Conference

On what the team was expecting at Sunday’s practice
“Usually, on the day after the game we go and do a walkthrough – go over the next week’s looks and take more of a mental day and get our bodies moving. When we were told to put on full pads, we knew what to expect and we knew that we had to go out there and physically go against each other and just go to work.”

On if the line has had to learn new things
“I think every week, we're not necessarily learning new stuff, but it's always different, like blocks and different defenses and different schemes that we go up against. So just little tweaks here and there to each play, and how we blocked it with tight ends and how we block the running guys’ path and all that stuff.”

On what he wants people to learn about the team on Friday
“I think our team is fired up. We’ve got a chip on our shoulder, going out like that on Saturday. That wasn't a good feeling. I think that our team is fired up. I think we're angry. I think that on Friday, we're gonna come out firing.”

On Illinois having one of the best defensive lines in the country
“I think we're taking it just like a regular game. They’ve got guys, we’ve got guys. I think our line can handle anyone in the nation. I think that if we just play our game, if we do our job, we finish our blocks, I think it'll be a good day for us.”
