On playing in front of the Memorial Stadium fans
“I mean, I got my test run at the Spring Game, but it felt good. You see the big sea of red and see everybody say ‘Go Big Red’, especially in the fourth quarter. It felt good, man. It felt good that everybody got a lot of support from the community of Lincoln.”

On why he thinks the defense is so successful so far
"Because of the standards we keep ourselves with. Sometimes, it’s very hard. We’ve experienced that before – that sometimes, the standards, they may seem unrealistic in our heads. But every day we keep chipping at it and that standard becomes the standard. That’s something that we do on the regular.”

On if he thought the defense would have as many players contribute as they do
"Coach Matt Rhule made that a mission. He wanted to play everybody that is willing to play and has the ability to play and that can play. That’s all a testament to Coach Rhule. We’re just playing the game.”
