Nebraska Linebacker Luke Reimer Pre-Iowa Press Conference

On what he expects Friday to be like
“Obviously a lot of different emotions. Last home game and it being Iowa too. There’s a lot of different emotions. It will be something that I will look back on and just be proud of what my career has been and just pretty nostalgic honestly of everything I’ve done and been through. I am looking forward to it.”

On the closeness of the senior class
“I mean I remember it feels like yesterday. We walked in with everybody and met everybody for the first time as a freshman. We’ve been through a lot and it feels like it just flew by. These guys are the friends I’ll have for the rest of my life. I’m pretty proud of this group and they mean a lot to me.”

On how excited he is for Chubba Purdy
“Chubba is great. Like he said, we have gotten a little closer this year. It’s just been great getting to know him more and kind of going through the season with him and the ups and downs. He was on scout team Maryland week and then he got in the game. It’s crazy and you don’t know when your time is coming. He was prepared. He went in there and didn’t miss a beat. It’s cool to see him no matter what obstacle they throw at him whether it’s scout team quarterback or back giving us a look or whether it’s first-string quarterback. He prepares the same way and he just goes about life the same way which is really cool to see.”

On being out during the Iowa game last year and getting another shot this year
“Yeah, absolutely. It broke my heart last year to not play in it. Especially since we got the dub. It's a fun one to play in the last one, especially against Iowa. This game means a lot to us and I’m excited for it.”
