Nebraska Linebacker John Bullock Pre-Louisiana Tech Press Conference

On if he’s surprised with how many players are getting in on defense “Not really, because I know we’ve got a lot of guys that can play. There’s a lot of good players on the team and they were saying we need to rotate these guys. There’s guys who were getting 80 snaps last year. They’d be gassed by the end of the game. It’s good for the team. It’s good that we can have different players step up and play. We’ve got a lot of guys that are able to step up and play the role on the team.”

On when he knew that the coaching staff was committed to developing depth
“Honestly, right away, their intent to coach every single player, no matter who you are, really showed up right away. I think a lot of guys knew that they had the opportunity to show out this year, including myself – just to show what you can do. If you do the right things and you play hard, you’re going to be able to get onto the field. I think that kind of showed up right away for all of us.”

On playing with his brother, Alex and after Saturday’s game
“It’s a great moment. We played in high school together, obviously, so being able to carry that over and play in college together is just unbelievable. Just to be able to start with each other on opposite ends of the ball. It’s a dream come true. Not a lot of people get that opportunity. I don’t take that for granted.”
