Nebraska Linebacker Javin Wright Pre-Indiana Press Conference
On feeling back to normal
“I’m getting there. It’s a day-by-day process. I’m on a conditioning plan, walk throughs, and they are just trying to get me involved, and getting me back even better than where I was. So it’s been good.”
On adjusting to games with no contact practice
“It’s all a mentality thing. You have to make sure that you’re on point on game day. You know that you’re going to get in the game on game day. It’s all a self-belief thing that you’ve done this before. You have years under your belt. You’ve already shown what you can do and you have to go out and do it every game. I just tell myself that and it comes to light after that.”
On watching his teammates on Saturday
“I was super involved. I was on the sideline so I was getting the checks too. I felt like I was still in the game. I was hyped when John (Bullock) got the pick. I was playing but I was also hype when John got the strip in the fourth fumble. I was joyous with them. I wasn’t left out or anything. There was a hint of sadness because I wasn’t playing them and getting involved with them. I felt like I never skipped a beat.”
