On coming in to play in the UCLA game 
“I prepared all off-season, summer, and all of fall camp. When my time was time, I was ready for it, especially when Deshon (Singleton) went down. Coach is telling me, “You’re probably going to get a lot of reps this game.” I already had some reps from the USC game, so I was just ready. I prepared all week, all season. I was ready for it. 

On staying with the process 
“My parents always taught me my whole life. If it’s going to be given to you, you have to go take it. I never gave up on myself. I just kept working and when my time came I was ready for it.”

On the mindset of the defense
“Just go attack. Just play our game. Don’t play to their level. Play to our level. I know we’re ready. We had a great practice today. Just trying to build up to tomorrow and have another great practice. Just taking it day by day, rep by rep.”
