Nebraska Defensive Lineman Ty Robinson Pre-Iowa Press Conference

On the decision to walk on senior night or not
“Yeah I’ve sat down with the coaches already and we thought it would be in the best interest for me to come back for another year. I’ll be returning for my sixth year.”

On if a weight has been lifted off his shoulders with his decision
“I wasn’t really stressing about it that much knowing that if I was going to go to the league or if I was going to stay here another year. It is what it is at the end of the day. Wherever I would go I would make sure something would happen. If it was my time it was my time. If not then so be it. There is more to life than just football but I love this game so much so I’m ready to come back and keep going.”

On what this group of seniors means to him
“I came here with these guys. I love them to death. We have been through the ups and downs and the thick and the thin of everything together. We have made a lot of great memories out there on the field and even off the field. I am happy to call them my brothers. I’m honored to call them my brothers and I wish nothing but the best for them.”

On making the decision to stay for a sixth year with the current staff in mind
“I’m really impressed with Coach Rhule and everyone on the staff. He runs a tight ship. It’s pretty sound up there. I mean it definitely goes into it. Being in that environment to being able to stay for another year and know that there’s not going to be anything crazy going on, it’s all going to be planned out, it’s all going to be probably how it was this year.”
