On Minnesota’s offense:

“Everyone knows they like to get downhill. They like to wear their opponent out and play really hard. I think it’s gonna be the same scheme.”

On challenges the defense will face:

“We just have to be disciplined. They live in the first second down knowing that they’re gonna get that third and short. We just gotta be disciplined in what we do and stop the run as best we can.”

On defensive areas of improvement:

“Obviously from the spring there have been huge strides from everyone. Not just on the field changes but off the field is the trust with us players. I trust everyone on the back end to do their job so I can do my job. I trust the guys up front to do the same thing.”

On the stakes of starting a season with a conference game:

“We will really find out what kind of team we are fast.”

On the difficulty of this camp compared to previous camps:

“This was the toughest fall camp I've been a part of and I wouldn't want to have it any other way. All the reps we've gotten just builds confidence everyday. Knowing that I've done my job 5,000 times just gives me a lot of confidence.”
