Nebraska Defensive Coordinator Tony White Pre-UCLA Press Conference
On memories with UCLA
“The Championships, the Rose Bowls. With all the guys who played, you miss the locker room. You miss sitting down there before class, before you eat just being around the guys. It’s those things you miss the most.”
On bouncing back from Indiana and playing well against Ohio State
“That’s what we are supposed to do. I am really happy that the guys played like that, but for as up and down as it is, you have to say ‘hey it's Tuesday.’ We have a team who is playing their best football coming in here. We know how to do things. The most important thing is how we do things, have a little attitude and chip on our shoulders.”
On how he feels about the defense
“We’re okay. Today was a different game plan. Today’s a different deal, we are resetting. Going back to the game I thought they did okay. We gave up a couple of explosives. That’s the chess games back and forth. You have to give more tools and be able to execute so those things don’t happen, but overall both. The coverage in the back with the pass rush up front. I think that combination can always be better but it’s okay.”
