On what Nebraska has meant to him
“It means a lot. I’ve been here for five years. I’ve been through a lot. I’ve been through coaching changes, position changes, I’ve seen the people that I’ve grown strong connections to transfer out. Regardless of all the downs that probably came around it’s been more than what I could ask for. It’s been a blessing and I’ve been grateful to just be a part of this community. I couldn’t ask more from a fanbase, I couldn’t ask more from a coaching staff. It just means a lot to me and it’s something that I pride myself in to say that I’ve been here all five years.”

On Coach Rhule highlighting what he’s done
“It means everything. I feel like a lot of my time here hasn’t been what I planned for myself, but for me this year to emphasize my talent and do the things that I can regardless of if it’s just on special teams that meant a lot for me. It meant the world. Just being able to hear that meant a lot and I felt seen. I feel like a lot of the things that I have done to get to where I’m at meant something, so it really meant a lot for me.”
