Nebraska Defensive Back Isaac Gifford Pre-Purdue Press Conference

On after the game and what he did on Saturday
“I got away from football. I took a mental break. I watched the film from Friday and then I just got away. I went and hung out with some friends and some family. Just got my mind off of it and relaxed for a little bit.

On defense’s reaction to Friday’s game
“Everybody is mad at themselves. Nobody is pointing fingers or anything. Everyone just has that pit in their stomach where they’re just mad at themselves. I know I am, but you take it, you learn from it and move on. You do your best the next week and be better.”

On practice this week and not hitting the panic button
“I mean we are on to game five out of 12. We just have to keep getting better every week and put the past behind us, learn from it and move on.”

On Purdue’s offense and tackling
“It’s always going to be important. Obviously we didn’t do well in the last two games around the ball. They have a good running back and they have an experienced o-line so we have to stop the run. That’s what we have to do.”
