On switching positions
“I think it’s just understanding the playbook. I think that I know the playbook very well, so I know everybody’s job so the transition wasn’t that hard. It’s just kind of understanding the feel of the game and the run fits and all that that I need to get a read on. But I think I’m doing well.”
On what has made the pass defense click
“I think it’s just every week, being intentional about development. I think we’re a very tight-knit group. We always make sure to get extra work in whenever we can, go over film, concepts, stuff like that. It’s just about trying to get better every week.”
On Michigan State’s last drive
“I felt like we were doing a pretty good job throughout the course of the game. I felt like we took our foot off the gas during the last drive and I was disappointed in that with us. Even myself, I feel like we weren’t as aggressive as we were throughout the course of the game. And I felt like when Nebraska – people say close games are a difficult thing for us to win, but I think with this team, that’s not a difficult thing for us to win. I think we’re able to weather the storm and attack those close games. Once you do start to pull away, you can’t be satisfied, like ‘we got away with the win.’ It’s about dominating, even after you start to pull away. That was the message I wanted to give to the team.”
