Postgame Quotes vs. Ohio
Sept. 5, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.)
Nebraska 49, Ohio 21
On a rewarding second half, 200 yards in second half
“It felt great, going out there, putting routine plays together. One play at a time, drive at a time. We never wanted to take our foot off their neck. We started off slow, so we got the corrections during halftime, and we came out there and showed the world what we really could do.”
On wearing teams out
“I feel as though we’re not thinking about past teams and stuff like that. This year it’s a new team and a new roster so we’re not going to dwell on what has happened in the past. We like to say if they’re cut, bleed the cut until they finally put their hands down and knock them out. I feel as though that’s exactly what we did.”
On the broken tackle play
“Got out, there was no protection. Just did my little route and I saw (Anthony Colandrea’s) eyes so I knew the ball was coming to me. All I knew is that I had to make this catch. The rest was history after that. Just running, trying to get as many yards as I could, I broke free. I knew after I broke free I had to go score."
