Tyson Billings joined the Nebraska Athletic Department in July of 2014 as an assistant ticket manager. His current duties include managing ticket operations for men’s basketball and track and field. He previously served as the ticket manager for women’s soccer, wrestling and baseball.
Billings also assists with football ticketing, analytical research and graphic design, while also developing ticket marketing strategies.
Billings previously served as the General Manager for the Omaha Beef and Lincoln Haymakers professional indoor football teams from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that he worked as the Director of Marketing and Sales for the Wichita Wings Indoor Professional Soccer club and the Wichita Wild professional indoor football team. Billings also worked in the Wichita State athletic ticket office in 2012.
Billings interned for the Lincoln Saltdogs pro baseball team in the summer of 2011, working in ticket sales, promotions and event operations.
Billings earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Concordia University in Seward, Neb., and then earned a master's in sports management from Wichita State.
While at Concordia, Billings competed in both cross country and track and field. He was the GPAC champion in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 2011.
