Tyler Miles was the Huskers’ assistant director of football strength and conditioning during Nebraska's 2023 winter conditioning and spring seasons.
Miles was the assistant director of sports performance for football at Duke in 2022, when the Blue Devils posted an 8-4 record in the regular season. Duke posted its most ACC victories (5) since 2014 and nine Blue Devils were All-ACC selections.
Prior to Duke, Miles was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Miami in 2021, assisting the football program with its strength and conditioning efforts, including monitoring the team’s catapult tracking and velocity-based training systems.
In 2019 and 2020, Miles worked at Boost Performance in Nashville, where he trained nearly 30 athletes for school pro days and the National Football League combine, while also working with NFL players during the offseason. Miles worked with 10 players who were selected in the NFL Draft and trained more than 30 players who signed NFL contracts.
While he worked for Boost Performance, Miles simultaneously served as the head strength coach at Tennessee State, working primarily with football, volleyball and the track and field throwers. He was also responsible for athlete rehab and the return-to-play process.
Miles was an assistant strength coach at Northwestern State in 2019. He was a strength and conditioning intern at Tennessee in 2018 and at South Carolina in 2017. Miles gained professional experience working with the Salt Lake City Stallions as an assistant strength coach in 2019 and as a paid intern with the New York Jets in 2018.
Miles graduated from Tennessee with a degree in kinesiology in 2018. He is a certified sports performance coach and a certified strength and conditioning specialist and is also CPR/AED certified.
