Taylor Porter joined the Nebraska Athletic Department in the Fall of 2013 as an assistant strength coach with the Nebraska football team. He assists with all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for football, which includes winter conditioning, summer workouts and in-season training.
Porter brought experience from both the collegiate and professional levels to Nebraska, as he has spent time with the NFL's Houston Texans, while also working at TCU and Louisville.
Porter is originally from Chicago, but grew up in New London, Wis. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in kinesiology at Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he also played football. While at Louisville, he earned his master's in justice administration.
Porter is CPR/AED certified by the American Red Cross working to become a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
