Shot Kleen came to the Nebraska Athletic Department in 1994 and currently serves as assistant athletic director for HuskerVision, after being promoted to that position in July of 2009. Kleen oversees operations of HuskerVision and is also the leader of the technology team, which researches and develops all technology related projects within the athletic department.
Kleen also administers the budget for all technology related capital expenditures. Kleen provides engineering support and maintenance to the HuskerVision studio, control room, all athletic department video equipment and the big screens in Memorial Stadium and the Bob Devaney Sports Center.Kleen joined the athletic department after spending five years as an engineer at NETV. He was an engineer and production specialist for KOLN/KGIN-TV (1971-93), where he served as the technical director for the Tom Osborne Show.
Kleen received an associate’s degree in electronic technology from Southeast Community College in 1965 before serving in the U.S. Army for four years (1965-69). Kleen also is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. He is married to the former Candiss Brooke.
