Randy York is the senior writer for Huskers.com. York joined the staff in August of 2007 and is the author of The N-Sider, the official blog of the Huskers. As a former sports columnist and assistant sports editor at the Lincoln Journal Star for 15 years, York was named Nebraska Sportswriter of the Year six times.
Before returning to Lincoln, York spent more than 22 years at Sprint as a member of its corporate communications team in Overland Park, Kan. York participated in various roles and responsibilities at Sprint, including directing the company's annual report and corporate magazine. In 2001, he received the Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators for his role as managing editor of a special publication on 9/11.
A native of Alliance, Neb., York is a University of Nebraska graduate. He and his wife, Linda, also a UNL graduate, have two daughters - Angie Henderson and Julie Jindra. Angie and her husband, Darin, have four sons, Grant, twins Carter and Payton, and Brody. Julie and her husband, Brian, have three children, twins Sofie and Jackson, and Logan.
York serves on the Board of Directors for the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame Foundation.
