judy schalk intro
While completing her bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Schalk distinguished herself as an exceptional gymnast. During her four years of intercollegiate competition, Schalk was the collegiate all-around state champion and competed at the regional and national levels. She was also the Swiss Turner all-around national champion.
Schalk began coaching in 1973, accrusing experience with the Racine Case High School gymnastics team, the North Milwaukee Gymnastics Club and the Nebraska School of Gymnastics. During her tenure with NSG, Schalk produced five USGF Regional Junior Olympic qualifiers and one USGF Junior National Olympic qualifier. As a nationally rated officially, Schalk actively participated in USGC meets as well as AIAW-sanctioned competitions.
