Joe Eby enters his second year as an intern with the Nebraska Track and Field program.
Eby joined the Huskers after a year as a volunteer coach at Wichita State University, where he provided meet management and helped assist the coaching staff with daily duties and develop training programs. Prior to his time with the Shockers, Eby was a head coach at McPherson College in McPherson, Kan., as he was named the 2011 KCAC Outdoor Track and Field Men's Coach of the Year and helped the program tally multiple national qualifiers during his two years there. Eby also served as a graduate assistant at DePauw University for two years.
Eby graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical education from Mount Union College in 2004, later earning his masters in coaching from Indiana State University. As an athlete at Mount Union, he was a 2002 DII Indoor All-American in the 1,500 and the 2002 MVP of the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
