Shattuck earned her bachelor’s degree at Louisiana Technical University in (1995), and then spent the next 23 years as an elite coach and athlete earning multiple national titles and a world rank of 6 in women’s professional racquetball. She earned her master’s degree in sport science at the United States Sports Academy (2011). After retiring from professional sports, she began her research career at University of Colorado, Denver Neurology in movement disorders. She started her PhD studies at UNL in behavioral neuroscience in the fall of 2014.
