James Frey joined Nebraska Athletics as a development hospitality assistant in August of 2018. Frey focuses on hospitality and premium seating, development events, data analysis, and is an assistant for the N Club.
Frey came to Nebraska from Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) where he was a student-athlete on the Men’s track and field team. He was a member of four consecutive Northeast Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship Teams including the first ever in the university’s history. He was a recipient of the Director of Athletics Award as a senior and served as a representative on the University Athletics Board. Frey also served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President from 2015-2017.
Frey is a native of Meriden, Conn., and graduated in May 2017 with a bachelor degree in physical education. He will earn his Master of Arts in Business with a specialization in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration (MAIAA) from Nebraska’s College of Business in May of 2019.
