Dan Ridenour joined the Nebraska Athletic Department as a strength and conditioning intern in July 2015, working primarily with women's gymnastics, before being promoted to an assistant strength and conditioning coach in July 2016. In his current position, Ridenour serves as the assistant strength coach for the track and field team in addition to gymnastics. Ridenour is also the video coordinator for the entire strength and conditioning department.
Before Nebraska, Ridenour spent time at St. John's University in Jamaica, N.Y., from January 2015 to June 2015, as the graduate assistant for athletic performance, where he oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for women's volleyball, men's and women's golf and fencing. Additionally, he assisted with the women's soccer program.
Ridenour spent three months in 2014 as an athletic performance intern at the University of Memphis assisting with the Tiger football team. Prior, Ridenour served as the director of athletic training and program development for Spark Athletic in Kuwait City, Kuwait for one year. Additionally, Ridenour was an intern at the University of Minnesota, assisting with all Olympic sports along with football.
A native of Woodville, Ohio, Ridenour graduated with degrees in physical education and communication studies from Luther College in 2012. He was a running back on the Norse football team for three years and served on Luther's Leadership Council for two years. Ridenour transferred to Luther after spending one year at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
