Chris Coulter spent one season as Nebraska's director of football advancement in 2024. In his role, he was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the recruiting and marketing plans.
Coulter came to Nebraska from Wake Forest where he spent five seasons as the director of recruiting, earning the promotion in February of 2020. In that role, Coulter oversaw all aspects of the recruiting process and served as the program's NFL liaison. Overall, he spent eight seasons on the Wake Forest staff. In his first three years, Coulter worked as a recruiting assistant and creative media coordinator. He helped develop recruiting plans through graphics and other digital media. Coulter was promoted to associate director of recruiting in 2018.
Prior to Wake Forest, Coulter spent two seasons at Florida State. While with the Seminoles, Coulter assisted in tracking prospective student-athletes through film breakdown, updating recruiting databases and maintaining social media contact with potential players. In addition, he served an internship in sports marketing while at FSU.
Coulter graduated from Florida State with a bachelor's degree in sport management. He was also a walk-on defensive back with the Seminoles.
