Brian Garand

Brian Garand joined Nebraska Athletics as a compliance coordinator in July of 2023. Garand helps ensure that all of Nebraska's varsity sports adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and the Big Ten Conference. 

Garand previously spent more than five years as a legislative assistant on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. 

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Brian earned his bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University in 2015 and his masters degree in sport management from The George Washington University in May of 2023.
