Austin Larkin spent one season as a developmental performance quality control coach at Nebraska in 2023.
Larkin joined Nebraska after a professional career, playing 11 games in the National Football League as a defensive end. He played in two games and made one tackle with the Atlanta Falcons in 2019. The next season, Larkin played in nine games with the Carolina Panthers, who were coached by Matt Rhule. Larkin totaled 12 tackles with the Panthers, including one tackle for loss.
Larkin played in the Big Ten as a defensive end at Purdue in 2016 and 2017. He played in 22 games with 18 starts for the Boilermakers, recording 41 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble. Larkin started his career at Notre Dame, playing in two games as a redshirt freshman before transferring to City College of San Francisco.
Larkin earned his bachelor’s degree in movement and sports science from Purdue in 2018. He is married to his wife, Lauren.
