Alix Knipe

Alix Knipe joins the Nebraska Swimming and Diving staff as a graduate assistant. Alix is beginning the master of fine arts program at the University of Nebraska after earning two bachelor degrees. She completed her first degree in environmental studies and world religious studies at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., in 2000, and went on to earn a second degree in art with a focus in ceramics from the University of Minnesota in 2004. Since that time, she has accrued a wealth of varied experience, working as a teaching assistant, gardener, home inspector, waitress, teacher and restaurant manager. Most recently, she served as the director of restaurant marketing and catering at The Artisan Restaurant in Snowmass Village, Colo. She has also been awarded several honors and scholarships for her exceptional artwork and academic achievements.
