Senior (2008-09)
Although he didn't qualify to compete for the Big Red in any competitions during his last season as a Husker, Trent Price was a leader on the practice course and in the classroom. Price earned Academic All-Big 12 first team honors for the second straight season. Price, who earned a 3.5 GPA in the fall, became only the third Husker since the formation of the Big 12 to make at least two career appearances on the Academic All-Big 12 first team, joining Steve Friesen (1997-98-99) and Brady Schnell (2006-07). Price was also named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the fall.

Junior (2007-08)
Price’s junior season was full of ups and downs, and he finished fifth for the Huskers with a 77.63 stroke average and fourth in rounds played at 27. Price opened the fall with what would turn out to be his best finish in four fall tournaments, a tie for 41st and a 227 stroke total at the St. Mary’s Invitational. Price matched the 227 at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, but tied for 75th. He placed 59th and tied for 57th to start the spring, but found his form at the Ron Moore Invitational, where he scored a 223 and tied for 29th, the best finish of his junior season. Price followed that up with another well-played tournament when he shared the lead for the Huskers with a 223 at the Palisades Collegiate Classic. It was there where Price also recorded his season-best round of 70. At the Big 12 Championship, Price carded a 318 and tied for 54th.

Sophomore (2006-07)
After a solid first season with the Huskers, Price saw limited action in his sophomore campaign, competing in just two fall events. Price opened the 2006-07 season by finishing in a tie for 55th place, helping Nebraska to a second-place showing at the Kansas Invitational. His final tournament of the season was cut short due to inclement weather. He fired an opening-round 75 at the Louisiana Tech/Squire Creek Classic and that proved to be the lone round of the tournament, leaving Price in a tie for 45th. In only four rounds, Price recorded a low round of 75 and finished with a stroke average of 77.00.

Freshman (2005-06)
Price was impressive in his first season, earning a 76.33 stroke average through 18 rounds and two top-20 finishes. Price closed his freshman campaign by earning a spot in the lineup at the Big 12 Championship, where he finished in 59th with a score of 239. His fall season highlight was a tie-for-16th finish at the Fairway Club Invitational, a career best. Price continued to improve in the spring season, recording a stroke average of 75.92 through 12 rounds. Price opened his spring with a career-low round of 69 at the Ron Moore Invitational, where he also shot his career-low final score of 216. Price continued to have success in the summer by breaking into the top 20 at the 97th Nebraska State Amateur at Indian Creek in Elkhorn, Neb. Price posted a final round of 76 for an 11-over par 299 through four rounds, leaving him in a tie for 18th.

Before Nebraska
Price was one of the top junior golfers in the state in his high school career at Lincoln Southeast, winning the Nebraska Class A state tournament in 2005 as a senior. Price’s score of 134 at the 2005 state tournament is the lowest 36-hole score ever by a high school golfer at the Nebraska state golf tournament. Price earned all-state accolades as a junior and senior. He built an impressive resume in junior golf early in his career. He captured the 2002 Junior Match Play title before his sophomore year at Southeast and was also a member of Nebraska’s junior team for the prestigious Nebraska-Kansas Junior Cup matches in 2002 and 2003. Price was an eight-time letterwinner at Southeast, lettering three years in basketball and football, where he played wide receiver, cornerback and punter.
