2011-12 (Outlook)
Josiah Moore has provided depth for the Husker backcourt in his initial season at Nebraska. He appeared in 15 games, averaging 1.9 points per game on 46 percent shooting and 0.5 rebounds per game. Moore has shown good range, as four of his 10 baskets this year have been 3-pointers.

Moore saw limited action early on, as he made one appearance in his first six games, a four-minute stint against Rhode Island on Nov. 20 when he had three points, a rebound and an assist. He saw action when Dylan Talley injured his thigh and helped key an 15-2 Husker run in the second half, as his layup tied the score at 41 after NU fell behind by 10 points. That outing helped Moore play at least 10 minutes in the Huskers' final two non-conference games, including a career-high 14 minutes against Central Michigan on Dec. 20.

After shooting 22 percent in non-conference play, Moore found his range in Big Ten play, hitting 58 percent from the floor in nine league contest. Against Michigan State on Dec. 31, he became the first freshman to start for NU since the end of the 2009-10 season. Moore came off the bench for a career-high five points, hitting both his shots from the floor in a loss to No. 6 Ohio State on Jan. 21. It was part of a four-game stretch where he averaged 3.0 points per game on 5-of-7 shooting. Moore also grabbed a pair of rebounds in consecutive outings against Michigan on Feb. 8 and at Penn State on Feb. 11. His scoring best in Big Ten action was four points, as well as two rebounds, over 13 minutes at sixth-ranked Michigan State on Feb. 25, as he replaced an injured Bo Spencer in the Huskers' rotation. He also played four minutes against Purdue in the Big Ten Tournament, hitting his only shot from the floor against the Boilermakers.

Before Nebraska
Moore played for one of the nation's top high school basketball programs at Norcross (Ga.) High School. The Blue Devils, coached by Jesse McMillan, went 24-9 on the season and won the Class AAAAA (largest class) state title in 2011, defeating No. 4 Milton in the state title game.

One of three seniors on the squad to sign with Division I programs, Moore averaged 11.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game to earn second-team all-state honors from the coaches association and third-team accolades from the Atlanta Tip-Off Club.  He had three games of at least 20 points as a senior, highlighted by a 22-point effort in the state playoffs against Centennial. He totaled a pair of double-doubles on the season, including 20 points and a season-high 13 rebounds against Mill Creek. He also handled the point guard duties down the stretch, averaging 5.0 assists per game on their run to a state title. He was also considered one of the best defensive players in the state of Georgia during his final two years.

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Moore was rated the No. 61 shooting guard in the country by ESPN and a three-star prospect by Rivals.com while also being rated as the overall No. 15 prospect in Georgia, regardless of position, by Scout.com.
As a junior, he averaged 9.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game to help Norcross to a 27-3 record and an Elite Eight appearance before losing to eventual state champion Milton, 53-52. He was second on the squad in rebounds. He played AAU ball for the Worldwide Renegades and Coach Ryan Falker.
