Outlook
The Huskers' last scholarship signee for the 2003-04 recruiting class, James Reynolds signed with Nebraska in late July. One of three newcomers at the guard position, Reynolds is the only two-guard in this year's in-coming class.

Reynolds has a good shooting touch with the ability to create his own shot. His range extends past the three-point line, and will give him a chance to earn immediate playing time for the Huskers. Reynolds is a terrific athlete, and can provide Nebraska with another solid scorer.

High School
Reynolds finished his prep career with one season at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, Calif. Playing in the California Interscholastic Federation-Los Angeles City Section, Reynolds led Crenshaw to the quarterfinals of the 16-team City Tournament in 2003 before falling by a single point. The CIF-LA City Section includes 52 schools with an enrollment of more than 155,000 students.

Reynolds played for coach Willie West at Crenshaw, averaging 18.5 points, three rebounds and two assists per game. Reynolds was a two-guard for Crenshaw, helping the team to a 20-6 record as the team's best long-distance shooter. Reynolds hit at least six three-pointers in three contests in 2003.

Before joining the program at Crenshaw, Reynolds played one season at Lynwood High School in Lynwood, Calif. He averaged nearly 20 points per game for Lynwood during his junior campaign. As a freshman and sophomore, Reynolds played at Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, Calif. He played on the varsity squad at Redondo Union and was on the honor roll one year.

Personal
James is the son of James Reynolds Sr. He was born Jan. 15, 1985, and is majoring in economics at Nebraska. James chose Nebraska after receiving early recruiting interest from Colorado, Oklahoma and a number of Pac-10 schools.
