Tyler Daake Season 2009

Tyler Daake joins the Nebraska football squad after a standout kicking career for Norfolk Catholic High School and Coach Jeff Bellar. The 6-2 Daake was a three-time first-team selection at the district and state level while playing for the C1 Knights. As a senior he made the Lincoln Journal Star's Super State team and the Omaha World-Herald's All-Nebraska team after making seven of nine field goals during the season and connecting on 50 of 54 extra point attempts. As a team, the Knights reached the state semifinals twice and the quarterfinals once during Daake's prep career. Daake was also a four-time state qualifier for the state track meet in the triple jump. He finished fourth in 2007, sixth in 2008 and fourth in 2009.
