2005 (Senior)
Mike Stuntz completed a notable Husker career in Nebraska’s victory over Michigan in the 2005 Alamo Bowl. Stuntz played three different positions in the Nebraska program, seeing time at receiver and quarterback, before finishing his Nebraska career in the Husker secondary.

Stuntz finished his Nebraska career as a free safety and played in six games in 2005 as a reserve and on special teams. Stuntz made one assisted tackle during his senior season. Stuntz also rushed once as a senior, running four yards on an intended reverse pass play against Pittsburgh.

Stuntz played in 10 games at split end as a true freshman in 2001, and was the first Husker offensive skill position player to bypass a redshirt season since 1997. He did not have a catch, but had a 25-yard rush against Rice on a lateral screen pass and fumble advancement. Stuntz earned a permanent place in Husker football history with his arm, launching a 63-yard touchdown strike to quarterback Eric Crouch on a reverse pass to clinch Nebraska's 20-10 victory over No. 2 Oklahoma.

Stuntz was a first-team academic All-Big 12 selection in 2005 as a professional golf management major. Stuntz was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll nine times during his Nebraska career.

2004 (Junior)
Stuntz was a reserve quarterback and assisted the transition to the West Coast Offense by signaling plays from the Husker sideline. He played in the first three games of the year on kick coverage.

2003 (Redshirt)
Stuntz sat out as a redshirt as senior Jammal Lord completed his eligibility.

2002 (Sophomore)
Stuntz played in six games as Jammal Lord's backup, and completed 10-of-25 passes for 100 yards, including 72 yards on seven completions at Iowa State in the most extensive action of his career. He also rushed 15 times for 13 yards.

2001 (Freshman)
Stuntz played in 10 games at split end (all except Texas Tech and Colorado) as a true freshman and was the first Husker offensive skill position player to bypass a redshirt season since 1997. He did not have a catch, but had a 25-yard rush against Rice on a lateral screen pass and fumble advancement. His one completion went for a 63-yard touchdown pass to Eric Crouch on a reverse against Oklahoma.

Before Nebraska (St. Albert HS)
Stuntz led Council Bluffs St. Albert High School to a 30-4 record in his three years at the school. He played quarterback, defensive back and returned kicks for Coach Jim Duggan, earning All-America athlete honors from PrepStar and All-America quarterback accolades from SuperPrep. Stuntz earned first-team all-state honors as a defensive back and the Omaha World-Herald named him to the All-Western Iowa team and the All-Omaha area team. Stuntz also lettered three years in basketball.

Personal
The son of Wendell and Lyn Stuntz, Mike was born on Nov. 23, 1982, in Iowa City. He is a professional golf management major and earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors as a senior. He was a nine-time Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll selection.
