1988 (Senior)
Jamie Worden helped give Nebraska an extremely strong set of wingbacks as a senior behind Dana Brinson and Richard Bell. Worden played in all 12 regular-season games for the Big Red and the 1989 Orange Bowl against Miami. He hauled in three receptions for 32 yards during the regular season, including two catches for 18 yards and Texas A&M and a 14-yard grab against Kansas State. He added four carries for two yards. Worden helped the Big Red win the NCAA rushing title by averaging 382.3 yards per game. NU also ranked sixth in scoring (39.5 ppg) and seventh in total offense (477.9 ypg) on its way to the Big Eight title with an unbeaten 7-0 conference mark and an 11-2 overall record.

1987 (Junior)
Worden earned his first varsity letter after playing in eight regular-season games. He did not have any offensive statistics, but his outstanding perimeter blocking helped Nebraska rank second nationally in total offense (489.0 ypg), third in scoring (38.5 ppg) and third in rushing offense (373.5 ypg). He contributed to Nebraska’s 10-2 overall record and a trip to the Fiesta Bowl to face Florida State.

1986 (Sophomore)
A non-lettered reserve, Worden produced a strong spring of 1987 that was capped off with an 80-yard touchdown pass from Jerry Dunlap in the 1987 Spring Game. At the time, it was the longest pass play in Husker Spring Game history.

1985 (Redshirt)
Worden made a position change to from cornerback to wingback in the spring of 1985, before redshirting during the fall of 1985.

1984 (Freshman)
Worden started at cornerback for the 4-1 Husker freshman team in the fall of 1984. He recorded seven tackles, including one for a 16-yard loss. Worden also grabbed one interception, which he returned 18 yards, while adding a pass breakup.

Scottsbluff High School
A Bally All-American and an all-state selection at Scottsbluff High School, Worden competed for former Husker player and graduate assistant coach Brad Jenkins. A standout sprinter for the Bearcats, Worden won the 100 and 200-meter gold medals at the 1984 Nebraska state track meet, defeating Husker All-Big Eight I-back Keith Jones from Omaha Central.
