Before Nebraska (Liberty HS/Oregon/Indiana/Michigan State/UCLA)
Anthony Jones played one season each at Oregon (2022), Indiana (2023), Michigan State (2024) and UCLA (2025) before transferring to Nebraska. He played in 37 games with 14 starts before joining the Huskers, totaling 58 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks and one pass breakup.

Jones played in 11 games with 10 starts at UCLA in 2025. He recorded 20 tackles, led the team with four quarterback hurries and tied for the team lead with 1.5 sacks. Jones also added 2.5 TFLs and one pass breakup.

In 2024, Jones played in 12 games at Michigan State. He made 25 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks. Jones played the 2023 season at Indiana, appearing in 12 games with four starts as a redshirt freshman. He totaled 12 tackles with a half TFL. Jones began his career at Oregon in 2023, redshirting while appearing in two games and recording one tackle.

Prior to college, Jones played for both Liberty and Arbor View High School. As a senior for Liberty High, Jones was a first-team all-league selection as a tight end and a second-team pick as an outside linebacker. The Las Vegas Review-Journal All-Southern Nevada first-team honoree totaled 39 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks as a senior, while also catching 16 passes for 241 yards and six touchdowns. Jones’ junior season was canceled due to the pandemic, but he recorded 37 tackles as a sophomore in 2019 at Arbor View.
