Played for the National Allouttes from 1967-1968.


At Nebraska

Named to 1966 All-America team by UPI and the AP after winning All-Big 8 honors for two seasons. The Cornhusker offense led the Big 8 in 1965 and 1966, also led the nation in 1965.

Allers also lettered in wrestling at Nebraska in 1965, finishing second in the Big 8 191-pound class.

Inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 1995


Before Nebraska (Davenport West)

Star prep athlete under Coach Bob Liddy at Davenport West where he played fullback and also lettered twice in basketball and wrestling.
