2022 (Redshirt Freshman)
Justin Evans-Jenkins played in all 12 games with five starts as a redshirt freshman. He helped Nebraska rank second in the Big Ten in rushing.
Evans-Jenkins made his first career start at Minnesota when Nebraska opened with six offensive linemen. Evans-Jenkins started at center against Purdue. He started at left guard against Michigan State, Maryland and Wisconsin.
2022 (Redshirt)
Evans-Jenkins redshirted and did not play in a game in 2022. He was a member of Nebraska's travel squad for the Huskers' trip to Iowa. For his effort during practice, Evans-Jenkins was honored as Nebraska's co-Offensive Scout of the Year.
Before Nebraska (Irvington HS)
Evans-Jenkins came to Nebraska from Irvington High School in New Jersey. In high school, Evans-Jenkins was a starter on the offensive and defensive lines.
Evans-Jenkins helped Irvington to a 12-2 record and a state championship as a senior in 2021. He was named an all-state selection for his efforts on the offensive line. Evans-Jenkins was also an all-state offensive lineman as a junior, when he helped the Blue Knights rush for more than 2,000 yards. As a defensive lineman, Evans-Jenkins recorded 52 tackles and five sacks as a junior. Evans-Jenkins also wrestled for Irvington.
A three-star prospect, Evans-Jenkins was ranked among the top 20 players in New Jersey by Rivals. He had interest from more than a dozen schools, including offers from Alabama, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Pittsburgh and Texas A&M.
Personal
Justin was born on April 21, 2004, and he is the son of Seanette Evans. Justin is majoring in business administration. Evans-Jenkins has volunteered his time with the N-Volved Leadership Group, Operation Christmas Child, the Black Student Alliance, the Nebraska Football Road Race, local Thanksgiving hospital visits and Nebraska’s Day of Service.
