2011 (Junior)
Erika Hamik earned All-Big 12 honors in the 1,000 meters at the 2011 Big 12 Indoor Championships with a sixth-place finish and a time of 2:55.61... recorded a personal-best 2:11.90 in the 800 meters at the Nebraska Tune-Up... also notched a personal-best 2:51.43 in the preliminary action of the 2011 Big 12 Indoor Championships... competed in four meets during the outdoor track and field season... recorded a season-best 2:12.39 in the 800 meters at the Stanford Invitational on March 26... posted a season-best 4:33.21 in the 1,500 meters at the Pepsi Invitational on April 9.

2010 (Sophomore)
Hamik competed indoors in the 800 meters, 1,000 meters and mile... ran a then-personal best of 2:14.24 in the 800 meters at the Nebraska Tune-Up... nearly broke five minutes in the mile with a time of 5:00.69 on Iowa State's oversized track at the ISU Classic... placed 12th in the 1,000 meters and ran a leg of the ninth-place DMR at the Big 12 Indoor Championships... focused on the 800 meters during the outdoor season... took ninth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a time of 2:11.05... ended the year with a 42nd-place showing in the 800 at the NCAA West Regional.

2009 (Freshman)
Hamik started her Husker career on a high note by winning her first race with a time of 2:59.93 in the 1,000 meters at the Holiday Inn Invitational... ran 2:53.88 to earn another win at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... finished eighth in the preliminaries with a time of 2:52.30 at the Big 12 Indoor Championships and then eighth in the finals (2:59.09) to secure All-Big 12 honors... focused on the 800 meters during the outdoor season... posted a then-personal best of 2:09.63 at the Nebraska Quad to finish first and regionally qualify... placed sixth in the preliminaries and then eighth in the finals at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... ended the season with a 16th-place showing at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Before Nebraska (Kearney Catholic HS)
Hamik joined the Nebraska track and field team as a seven-time Nebraska Class C track and field champion out of Kearney Catholic High School under Coach Fred Carnahan... won the 1,600-meter run (5:20.25), 4x400 relay (4:06.33) and 4x800 relay (9:49.28) as a sophomore... returned in 2007 to defend her title in the 1,600 meters... capped her prep career in 2008 with wins in the 400 (57.71), 800 (2:15.97) and 1,600 (5:20.39) meters... finished second in 2005 at the state cross country meet... battled bronchitis and pneumonia as a senior, but finished second with a time of 15:46.92... was a member of the Stars' state tournament basketball teams during her sophomore and senior seasons... member of the National Honor Society... named class salutatorian.

Personal
Parents are Dan and Janine Walker... born March 25, 1990... earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2013 after majoring in nutrition science and dietetics.
