2005: In his only season with the Huskers, Adams played in 52 of the Huskers' 72 games, including 25 starts • Batted .238 on the season, going 24-for-101 with three doubles, three triples and a home run • Scored 18 runs and drove in nine more • Excelled on the basepaths, stealing seven bases in eight attempts • Hit a triple, scored a run and drove in two in an 8-1 victory over Hawaii-Hilo on Feb. 20 • Hit a triple for the second-straight game, going 2-for-3 with a RBI and two runs scored in the Feb. 25 win over New Mexico • Hit his lone homer of his Husker career on March 27 against Kansas, a two-run shot that helped the Huskers get a 9-4 victory • Led the Huskers to a 5-4 come-from-behind win over Kansas State by going 2-for-2 with two walks, two stolen bases and a RBI • Notched two hits and was hit by a pitch in the loss to Texas Tech in the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament.
Blinn College/Coppell High School: Played two seasons at Blinn (Texas) College for Coach Brian Roper • Earned NJCAA All-America honors in 2004, batting .420 (84-for-220) with five homers and 42 RBIs • Added 23 doubles, six triples and was 21-of-22 in stolen base attempts, as Blinn finished 43-13 and was ranked in the top five nationally before losing in the regional title game • Hit .325 with one homer, 31 RBIs and 15 stolen bases as a freshman • Was a teammate of outfielder Brandon Fusilier at Coppell High School, where he lettered three times on the diamond and three times in football, earning all-district honors in both sports • Chose Nebraska over TCU.
