2007 Outlook: With a year of collegiate pitching under his belt, sophomore Tim Radmacher (pronounced ROD-mock-er) is one of several Husker pitchers who will have an expanded role this spring ? Was 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in four games last year after redshirting in his first year in the program ? Showed glimpses of his potential last year, including five innings of shutout ball against Northern Colorado ? Struggled with consistency around the strike zone last season, but was effective in off-season work ? Could be used out of the bullpen or as a midweek starter.

2006: Radmacher was one of two freshmen pitchers who made starts for the Husker staff in 2006 ? Was 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in four appearances, striking out nine in 10 innings of work ? Held opponents to a .143 average and allowed just one extra-base hit ? Made three starts, earning his only win of the season against Northern Colorado on March 19 ? Tossed a career-high five innings of shutout ball against UNC, allowing just two hits and fanning a season-high six Bears ? Did not get past the third inning in his other two starts, getting a pair of no-decisions ? Fired an inning of one-hit, scoreless relief against Nebraska-Kearney on April 19 ? Spent the summer pitching for the Rochester (Minn.) Honkers in the Northwoods League, going 2-2 in 15 appearances.

2005: Redshirted in 2005, before pitching for the Rochester (Minn.) Honkers of the  Northwoods League ? Posted a 5-0 record with a 2.79 ERA to earn all-star recognition for Coach Greg Labbe ? Fanned 35 and walked nine in 48.1 innings.

Rosemount High School: Radmacher was one of the nation’s top senior prospects playing for Coach Craig Kusick at Rosemount High School ? Ranked No. 104 nationally by Team One Baseball ? Rated the No. 2 high school senior in Minnesota by Baseball America before the 2004 MLB Draft ? Named the Minnesota State Player of the Year by the Minnesota Coaches Association and by Louisville Slugger after posting a 10-2 mark with two saves and a 0.98 ERA ? Fanned 107 and walked 21, while holding opponents to a .180 average ? Garnered all-region and All-Lake Conference honors in all three seasons at Rosemount, compiling a 23-8 record with six saves, 235 career strikeouts and three no-hitters ? Chosen as the No. 2 overall prospect at the 2003 Team One North Showcase ? Selected NU over LSU, Arizona State, Arizona and Minnesota.
