2012:
Richard Stock played just one season at Nebraska after transferring from Pierce College • Following a stellar 2012 campaign, Stock signed with the Cleveland Indians after being drafted in the 23rd round of the 2012 MLB Draft • Came to the Huskers as a catcher, but developed into the NU's everyday first baseman, while also serving as NU's reserve backstop • Led the Huskers in bouth doubles (20) and triples (3) in 2012, while hitting four home runs and ranking second on the team in RBI with 45 to Chad Christensen's 48 • Hit .351 on the year, including a .386 average during Big Ten play, the third-highest average in the league• Led all Big Ten players in hits during conference play with 39 hits • Ended the season on a 21-game hitting streak, the second-longest streak on the 2012 team to Michael Pritchard's 25-game hitting streak • Stock and Pritchard became the first teammates in school history to each notch 20-game or more hitting streaks in the same season • Was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team after earned third-team All-Big Ten honors at first base • Produced 18 multi-hit games on the year, including nine games with three or more hits and also totaled mutliple RBI in 11 games • Earned his first career start on Feb. 18 against Gonzaga • Went 3-for-4, includuing one double, against Utah on Feb. 24 • Launched his first home run on March 9 against California on March 10, while going 3-for-4 on the day with three RBI • Had another three RBI game in the series finale against Illinois in a 2-for-4 performance • Went 3-for-5 with two RBI and his first triple at Northwestern in the series opener on March 30 •Totaled a season-high four hits in game two of double-header sweep at Ohio State on April 15 with two doubles • Notched one double in each of his next four games to total six doubles in five games • Hit his fourth home run of the season and drove in three runs on May 19 in the regular-season finale at Michigan • Went 5-for-13 at the Big Ten Tournament, including a 3-for-4 game with three RBI and two doubles against Penn State on May 24.

Before Nebraska:
Stock transferred to Nebraska after playing the 2011 season at Pierce College in Los Angeles, Calif., and the 2010 season at Southern Cal • Hit a home run on the first pitch he saw as a collegian on Feb. 20, 2010, against Cal Poly • Played in 13 games as a freshman at USC, hitting .294 with five hits in 17 at bats • Posted a .310 batting average with six home runs for Pierce College in 2011 • Was a four-year letterwinner at Agoura High School in Westlake Village, Calif., under Dennis Reitz • Earned All-Marmonte League first-team honors during his junior season and All-Marmonte League second-team honors as a sophomore • Hit a home run in  each of the final six games of his junior season • Added two home runs, 11 RBIs and five stolen bases in 24 games as a senior in 2009 • Was picked in the 45th round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.
