2022: Steil appeared in 33 games, including 21 starts at first base for the Huskers. • Hit .176 with two doubles and a home run. • Totaled 12 hits, seven RBI and 10 runs. • Tallied one multi-hit game and one multi-RBI game. • Went 2-for-4 at UT Arlington. • Scored a season-high three runs at Ohio State and drove in two runs vs. BYU. • Doubled against Michigan and Creighton. • Homered vs. BYU.

2021: Jack Steil (pronounced Style) played in 28 games, making 19 starts in debut season at Nebraska. • Hit .203 with three doubles, a triple and three home runs. • Totaled 13 hits, 11 RBI and 10 runs. • Posted .282 on-base percentage and .422 slugging percentage. • Recorded three multi-hit games. • Compiled three multi-RBI games. • Had season-high three hits against Iowa after going 3-for-4 with a run scored. • Went 2-for-3 with a double, home run and three RBI vs. Purdue. • Also homered at Iowa and Illinois. • Tallied two hits in win at Iowa.

Before Nebraska: Steil joined the Huskers from Rocori High School, where he played under Coach Jeff Illies • The top-ranked shortstop in Minnesota, he was also the No. 3 overall player by Prep Baseball Report and was named a 2019 Rawlings Preseason All-American by Perfect Game • As a junior, he batted .406 with two home runs and 12 RBIs in 24 games • During his sophomore season, he hit .357 with six home runs and 20 RBIs in 28 games • Also played football and basketball at Rocori.
