2022: Hawkins made 13 relief appearances in debut season at Nebraska. • Went 0-2 with a 6.97 ERA. • Totaled 11 strikeouts in 10.1 innings. • Had six relief outings of at least one inning. • Pitched a season-high 1.2 innings at Indiana. • Posted a pair of strikeouts vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Omaha. • Appeared in one-inning outings against Rutgers, BYU and North Dakota State.
Before Nebraska: Rated among the top-15 seniors in Nebraska by Prep Baseball Report, as he played American Legion ball and played with the Nebraska Prospects program. • Had a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts in summer ball. • A two-way player in high school, Hawkins earned honorable-mention Class A all-state accolades as a sophomore. • Helped Millard West to a 28-5 record and first state title in school history in his sophomore season. • Hit .270, while also fanning 20 in six innings of work on the mound in 2019. • Pitched a two-hit shutout with seven strikeouts against Millard South in the state tournament in 2019.
