Charlie Weinrich did not play in a game in 2022 but served as Nebraska's No. 2 place-kicker all season.

Before Nebraska (Blue Valley HS)
Weinrich joined Nebraska as one of the nation’s top place-kickers. The Blue Valley (Kan.) High School product connected on 40-of-41 PATs as a senior and made seven field goals, with a long of 57 yards. Weinrich recorded touchbacks on 44 of 64 kickoffs and handled the punting chores for Blue Valley, helping his team to an 8-2 record and a trip to the second round of the state playoffs. As a junior, Weinrich connected on 7-of-11 field goals, including a 51-yarder and made all 29 of his PAT attempts in helping Blue Valley to a 6-2 record. Weinrich was a second-team selection to the prestigious All-Simone team in 2020, honoring the top players in the Kansas City Metro area. 

Weinrich attended the Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in 2020 and 2021 and was among the leaders in kicking competitions at the camp. He also had interest from Iowa State and Kansas.

Charlie was born on Dec. 29, 2003. He is the son of Joe and Julie Weinrich.
