Nebraska softball freshman Alexis Jensen was recognized as the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
In NU’s weekend sweep of Michigan, Jensen grabbed a 2-0 record in the circle. She tossed a team-high 9.0 innings and struck out 12 batters. Jensen logged an ERA of 3.11 and allowed four runs.
Offensively, the Gretna, Neb., native earned a .667 batting average and had three RBI with a home run and four hits.
Jensen is the Huskers’ second Big Ten Pitcher of the Week this season, as Hannah Camenzind earned the honor on Feb. 23.
